Timothy Foxx Brand Ambassador

08th April 2015
You may have heard me recently tweeting and commenting on Facebook about Timothy Foxx and that's because I was recently asked to become a brand ambassador for the company, something I was very happy and proud to accept.

As a brand I've known about Timothy Foxx from the beginning as it is owned and pretty much single handedly run by Rosalie who I have known on and off for 20 years. We first met as young pony clubbers from opposing branches competing against each other in various disciplines. However thanks to a shared love of hunting and eventing we formed a good friendship and even competed together on the same team in the Silver Fox hunt challenge a few times.

When Rosalie and I both gave up riding we didn't really see each other much apart from the odd Boxing Day meet or whatever. However about five years ago my wife and I went to Windsor Show and stumbled across a brand new tweed fashion company called Timothy Foxx. Cue my wife for the first time in her life wearing tweed!!! Since then the company has grown in size from a small select number of hand made items to a significant range of women's and men's clothing plus accessories for person and the home.

Thus far in the role of brand ambassador I've been lucky enough to pick a couple of items to try out and wear in public to see what people think. Firstly I have the Luxury Marsden Polo Shirt, which is very smart and made of excellent quality. This is no bog standard polo shirt but one made of a really good quality heavy cotton. The polo shirts come in a variety of colours for both men and women with differing designs on each one. It's the perfect item to be wearing at events whether riding or photographing, it's ideal for the eventing scene but also transfers easily to the high street. As you can see from these pictures the polo shirt is really smart and I'll be wearing it lots!!

Secondly I have picked out a new Union Jack Patchwork Tweed Flat Cap to wear. I've never been a fan of traditional flat caps as warn by the country folk and as an alternative for the last couple of years I've been wearing one that I brought in New York from the Levi shop. However I'm not afraid to say I've been after a Timothy Foxx one for ages as they are just a bit different! They are totally unique made up of tweed patchwork, so they aren't one plain colour and design. In addition I managed to get one of the special Union Jack ones, ideal as I'm very patriotic! Here's a quick selfie I took when I picked up the cap from Rosalie at the Kimble Point to Point on Easter Saturday.

If you want to know more about Timothy Foxx check out the website or event better drop in and see them at their next big event, none other than Badminton Horse Trials!! They’ll be there in the sun or rain between the 6th & 10th May. They have a NEW STAND LOCATION outside on ‘Hinnegar Way’ stand number 231 near the Festival of Food – look for the famous Yellow Flags!

Also don't forget to let me know if you are a Timothy Foxx fan, particularly if you are going to be at the same events as me, then I can arrange to take a photo of you in your super cool tweed!! I look forward to sharing more tweed items with you soon!
